Arc’teryx Backcountry Academy - Mammoth

In 2024 we helped move the Backcountry Academy from Whistler to Mammoth Mountain, California. We were charged with integrating the speaker and film series into the community. The Friay showcased some world class ski and snowboard films with a closing keynote from Greg Hill telling the stories of his years in the mountains. The Saturday we managed to secure the Mammoth premiere for Kimmy Fasani’s film Butterfly in a Blizzard. Which blew the roof off. There were tears, laughter, hugs, it was a special moment to witness the community to come out to support Kimmy (and Chris Benchetler) with their story.
